Shaded Four Patch. (I titled this wrong).

It’s not a disappearing four patch block, but a shaded 4 patch. It’s a good block, but a bit fiddly to make.
I made this for a sampler quilt about 15 years ago.

It would be interesting to remake some of these, if I can remember how.
This is the 2024 version of the block, it’s a 12.5-12″ finished.

And a few variations; I will make a video tutorial soon.

All the bits, ready to go.

This block is too big at 12″, but I am working on a smaller sample. This will be 2.5″, whereas the green one is 3.5″ – that should bring it down somewhat.

These colours are pleasant and bright.

While the rest of the world is snowbound, we are enduring a very hot summer. too hot to do much. It’s the hottest I have ever known. (only a month until autumn).
